Meet Karla
Hi, I’m Karla! I’m a counselor in training who works with both adults and children, and my passion is helping people feel seen, supported, and empowered to grow. I believe therapy should be a safe and inviting space—somewhere you can show up as you are, without judgment, and know that your voice matters.
I understand that choosing the right counselor can feel overwhelming and finding someone you connect with is important. My goal is to make sure we are a good fit, so you feel comfortable and confident in the counseling process.
In our work together, I use a blend of person-centered therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT). These approaches allow me to meet you where you are, focus on your strengths, and help you make meaningful progress toward your goals. Whether you’re navigating life transitions, working through challenges, or simply wanting to invest in your personal growth, I’m here to walk alongside you.
I earned my bachelor’s degree in psychology from UCCS and am currently pursuing my master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Colorado Christian University. Before beginning my counseling journey, I worked as a Registered Behavior Technician, providing therapy for children with autism and supporting their families, an experience that deepened my patience, empathy, and understanding of each person’s unique needs. Above all, my goal is to create a warm, welcoming space where you feel heard, valued, and encouraged to work toward the best version of yourself.
Bienvenido(a), me alegra que estés aquí. También hablo español y estoy aquí para escucharte y acompañarte en tu proceso de sanación.
