Feeling like you’re facing something alone? You’ve probably had those moments when it feels like no one else could possibly understand what you’re going through. I’ve been there, too. And while those feelings can be isolating, they also show us that, in many ways, we are all connected through our experiences. That’s one of the most beautiful parts of therapy: it offers a space where you can reflect on your story, explore who you are, and begin to see things from a new perspective.
In our work together, we’ll create a safe space for you to explore who you are, make sense of your past, reflect on your present, and build the skills you need to navigate your future. I believe in the power of curiosity—about ourselves, our experiences, and the stories we carry. And through that curiosity, we can unlock meaningful change.
My approach combines various counseling practices, all tailored to fit your unique needs and goals. Drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), we’ll work together to identify and reshape negative thought patterns that may be influencing your emotions and behaviors. Through Narrative Therapy, we’ll explore the stories you’ve been telling yourself, helping you reframe and create new, empowering narratives. I also incorporate Psychodynamic Therapy to help uncover how early life experiences and unconscious processes might be shaping your current thoughts and behaviors. If it resonates with you, I can integrate Faith-Based Counseling to bring spirituality into our work, supporting your healing in a way that aligns with your beliefs.
As a military spouse with deep ties to the Army community, I understand the unique challenges faced by those in the military and their families. This perspective allows me to bring a level of empathy and insight into our sessions, especially when navigating the stress, sacrifices, and transitions that often come with a life of service. Each technique I use is adaptable and we’ll tailor our work together to suit your individual experiences, strengths, and the challenges you face—whether personal, relational, or tied to military life.
