Hi, I’m Jesse. It’s an honor to walk alongside each client as they navigate the ups and downs of life. Maybe you find it difficult to relate to your own emotions and want to understand yourself better. Perhaps experiences from your past keep troubling you in the present and you want to heal. Or, relational issues and conflict are becoming more and more challenging. Whatever you are bringing in, I strive to meet you where you are and help you move toward where you want to be.
I am a counseling intern currently pursuing an MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Denver Seminary. I have a deep respect for each person’s story, recognizing that every person is different. I’m passionate about working with clients experiencing faith/spiritual issues, attachment challenges, or coping with past traumatic events. I can offer EMDR therapy to help in processing unresolved trauma, anxiety, and other everyday negative events.
My approach to counseling is person-centered. I draw on attachment, existential, and narrative approaches to therapy and utilize skills from Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). I believe meaningful change happens in the context of a safe, genuine relationship where you can explore your story, desires, and hopes for the future. Through our work together my aim is to help my clients find a path to a more meaningful and fulfilling life.
