Relationships play a vital role in our lives. Each one tells the story of who we are and what has happened in our life. Taking the first step to ask for help is courageous, but finding the right counselor/client relationship is key to your growth and healing journey. If we work together, techniques that may be used during sessions include mindfulness, cognitive behavioral therapy, and solution-focused therapy. Faith-based counseling is also something I offer if you are interested in that as a part of your sessions.
As a child life specialist, educator, youth mentor, and grief camp counselor, I have had the privilege to be part of some of the darkest days in the lives of children and families. It has been an honor to be invited into the lives of those walking a painful path. Education and my own past experiences have formed me into who I am today and have helped guide me in my career path and passion in walking alongside others during difficult times. |
Areas of Passion
“I don’t have to chase extraordinary moments to find happiness – it’s right in front of me if I’m paying attention and practicing gratitude.” Brene Brown
